Shaun graduated in the spring of 2008 from the State University of New York at Geneseo with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. While attending SUNY Geneseo, Shaun competed in two business plan competitions as well as assisted two not for profit organizations and one for profit business with a variety of business planning and market research projects.

Shaun incorporated his own real estate investment and management company during the summer of 2005. In addition to purchasing his own rental properties and facilitating the purchase and sale of others, Shaun began managing a2z Family Storage during the summer of 2006. The business was purchased by his Uncle and partner, Scott Gonyeo, a trainer for Trump University and global real estate developer. Shaun has increased the occupancy from 55% to 90% by primarily focusing on quality of service, but also adding standard business and self storage practices, new technology, and employees. Since the acquisition in 2006, Shaun has added two new facilities to the portfolio, U-Haul truck rentals, and moving supplies. Both Shaun and his partner Scott are focused on growing the storage business by infusing the company with new investor capital in order to make further acquisitions.

Shaun is currently working with his other partner Joseph Norman on building a real estate company to pair buyers and sellers. While this is exactly what realtors and other investors do, Shaun and Joseph are approaching the traditional real estate landscape much like Southwest Airlines approached the traditional airline landscape: by providing the same service faster and more reliably. The duo is building a database of investors across the United States and Canada who want to own cash flow generating properties in Rochester, NY – the cash flow capital of the country according to nuwireinvestor.com.

The goal is to create a database of committed and capable investors that is so large, Joseph and Shaun will be able to service any seller regardless of his or her circumstance – and do it in half the time! The icing on the cake is the back end service Joseph and Shaun are providing, called Power Team Consulting. After the sale they will contract with the buyer and provide a turnkey power team which will include pre-screened management companies, contractors, attorneys, bankers, title companies, topped off with a thorough knowledge of the local market and regulations.

Shaun is also working with Joseph and David Mammano, the Founder and CEO of Next Step Publishing on a college to life transition business. The transition should be fun and exciting but unfortunately for many graduates, there is more stress and worry! By offering a variety of resources for both life and career, graduates will be able to not only position themselves better for employment, but also live happier and more balanced lives. Next Step College is due to launch in the fall of 2009.

Shaun currently resides outside of Rochester in Macedon, NY. He was born in England and has travelled extensively around the United States as both his parents were in the United States Air Force. They finally settled in Fairport, NY where Shaun attended High School and graduated in 2004. While in High School, Shaun was awarded Eagle Scout, played sports and was involved in other extracurricular activities. His current hobbies include: reading, snowboarding, Tai Chi, playing Cash Flow (an entrepreneurship board game), playing computer games, watching movies, and participating as an Assistant Scoutmaster for a local Boy Scout Troop.
